October Free Sheet Music: Skin and Bones
Hi Piano Pals
We can't help but associate October with Halloween, and this year I thought it would be fun to give you an arrangement of the kids' Halloween favorite, Skin and Bones. I envision you playing this for your grand child or young
student as they sing along with your accompaniment, enjoying the anticipation of getting to the final verse to yell BOO! at the end.
Notice that some of the lyrics skip some of the beats such as with "...lived___down by___the...." You can choose to play the notes for those missed beats, but it might be easier for your singer if you play only the notes with lyrics under them.
I hope you are enjoying the beginnings of Autumn wherever you are (if you are in the northern hemisphere that is!) Here in Southern Californiya it is terribly hot - in the mid-90s this weekend. We are still sweating through the days, dreaming of sweater weather!
Congratulations to the 2 winners of the giveaway for my 3-book-series, The Music Remedy! As promised, I posted the 3-book giveaway on Facebook and Instagram on the Autumn Equinox, and everyone who follows those @UpperHandsPiano accounts and posted a comment were entered to win. Thanks so much to all who participated! We will have another giveaway in Winter so follow us to win!
Best wishes for a safe and cozy October, and enjoy playing Skin and Bones! Please leave a comment below and let us know what you are playing now. What is going well? What are your challenges?
With love and music, Gaili
